About the network

Affordable, person-centred support for brighter mental health, for all ages and needs.

Inspired by other projects, including those supported by the National Lottery, and shaped by years of working across a range of mental health charities and organisations in the capacity of counsellors, mental health recovery workers and the running of counselling services and mental health projects.

The Global Mental Health Network offers low-cost, Person-Centred counselling for adults, as well as for children and young people (11+). Our experienced practitioners work across a broad range of needs, from managing daily life stresses and anxiety to supporting individuals through major life transitions, identity exploration, relationship breakdowns, workplace challenges, and the complexities of neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ experiences.

We are proud to also support clients internationally, with current individuals accessing our service from countries including Ireland, Spain, Portugal, New Zealand, and Peru. Our international work has developed through a combination of self-referrals, recommendations, and direct school referrals, often where access to local mental health services is limited, has long waiting lists, or is financially inaccessible.

Expertise includes working with mild through to severe and complex mental health needs, in both counselling and psychiatric settings, allowing us to provide rounded, informed support based on each individual’s needs. Sessions are available online, via telephone, text-based chat, and in-person (face-to-face availability will become available mid-June).

Where needed, we can also assist with referrals to external services, including CAMHS, secondary mental health teams, or specialist organisations to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.

Spaces may be limited however, you are welcome to distribute our referral form should you have anyone in mind who could benefit from our service.
