Children and Young Person Services

At the Global Mental Health Network, we understand that growing up today comes with individual pressures and challenges. We offer specialist counselling for children and young people (11+) to support emotional wellbeing, mental health, and personal development. Sessions are adapted to each young person’s needs and can help with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, identity exploration, low self-esteem, life changes, relationship difficulties, LGBTQ+ support, SEN (Special Educational Needs), family conflict, and more.

Sessions are adapted to each young person’s needs and can help with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, identity exploration, low self-esteem, life changes, relationship difficulties, LGBTQ+ support, SEN (Special Educational Needs), family conflict, and more.
Our person-centred approach allows our counsellors to offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where young people are gently encouraged to explore their feelings at their own pace. We believe that every person deserves to be heard, valued, and supported in a way that empowers them to grow in confidence and resilience.

We offer flexibility in how sessions are accessed, with options for online, telephone, text, and in-person availability (in-person session availability from mid-June 2025). Our team has extensive experience delivering counselling both within schools and community settings. We have proudly partnered with Mind, one of the UK’s leading mental health charities, to deliver funded projects across parts of the UK whereby access to mental health support has previously been limited or unavailable. This work has given us a deeper understanding of the varied and complex needs facing young people today, from mild emotional struggles to severe and enduring mental health challenges.
Where appropriate, we can also offer referrals and signposting to additional services, such as CAMHS and other organisations, ensuring each young person receives the right care at the right time.
We aim to keep our service low-cost and accessible, offering sessions at £25 for children and young people, and packages can be discussed where multiple sessions are purchased by schools or organisations.
